2022年,画廊周北京(Gallery Weekend Beijing)携手画廊与艺术机构、艺术家、藏家和观众,以展览、公共活动、论坛等形式展现当下的艺术视野。

作为重要活动之一,画廊周北京将于6月23日下午,带来三场系列论坛,分别涵盖艺术合作的可能性、艺术创作及艺术收藏以及中西交流下的艺术视野;期待通过一系列学术性的交流、理论与实践的碰撞、不同地域间文化与生态的交融,深入展开对”共享“的探讨。

——艺术合作的可能

新势力单元论坛

本场论坛旨在从艺术当中抽取劳动部分,将劳动作为经济交换中的等价物来进行衡量,将无法进行经济价值等价交换的部分视为人类学研究中的作为“礼物”的交换。呼应米开朗基罗-皮斯托莱托(Michelangelo Pistoletto)在1994年所做的艺术论调,探讨当下艺术家是如何通过共享、互助、礼物交换、合作主义以及其一系列的工具和实践,重振对团结、共有与合作主义等的想象。

画廊周北京2022新势力单元论坛与华宇青年奖合作,冯发轫主持,邀请常羽辰、童文敏、李继忠、葛宇路四位青年艺术家从个人创作实践经验出发,青年学者曾毓坤作为回应人,探讨艺术合作在后资本主义与后疫情时代的可能性,对艺术作为劳动生产和礼物馈赠这一方式做出回应。

常羽辰

常羽辰目前生活在纽约。她的工作方式是游离的——如纺织般写作,如翻译般绘画,如梦呓般经商(见:使用价值),也以待客之道去教书。她进出于不同的材料和领域,她在劳动分工的边缘散步。常羽辰是纽约Poetry Project策展基金,华宇青年奖评委会大奖和芝加哥Lumiarts艺术基金的获得者。

Chang Yuchen works in an interdisciplinary manner -- writing as weaving, drawing as translation, teaching as hospitality and commerce as everyday revolution (see Use Value). By constantly entering and exiting each medium, she strolls against the category of things, the labor division among people. Yuchen was a recipient of Poetry Project Curatorial Fellowship, Huayu Youth Award and Lumiarts Fellowship.

葛宇路

葛宇路1990年出生于湖北武汉,2013 年毕业于湖北美术学院影像媒体专业,2018 年于中央美术学院获得实验艺术硕士学位,现工作、生活于环京地带。葛宇路的兴趣多集中于城市公共空间中的趣味表达,试图通过作品调侃生活中隐藏的矛盾。他用自身对公共空间进入介入和协商,企图从中制造新的动态关系。2020年,他在北京公社的同名个展“葛宇路”荣获画廊周北京“最佳展览奖 - 创新奖”。

Ge Yulu (b. 1990, Wuhan) graduated from the Media Art Department of Hubei Institute of Fine Arts in 2013, and received a M.F.A. from the Experimental Art Department at Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2018. He now lives and works on the outskirts of Beijing. Ge Yulu’s interests lie in the witty expressions in public urban space. Through his art, Ge Yulu strives to mock up the hidden paradox in life. By intervening and negotiating with the public space using his body, Ge Yulu aims to create new dynamic relationships. His eponymous solo exhibition “Ge Yulu” won Gallery Weekend Beijing 2020’s “Best Exhibition Award-Innovation Prize”.

李继忠

李继忠的的研究式创作主要关于历史编纂、意识形态与情感的时间超越性。李氏从早年探索档案系统之于历史书写,其后发展以档案学为方法,延伸至研究式创作实践——当中包括出版、空间生产、群众参与及创建档案库。李氏编著《档案(库)的可能与不可能:亚洲理论与经验》(2022);最期展览包括 “Sharjah Biennial 15: Thinking Historically in the Present” (2023)。2022年,李氏获得由哈佛大学皮博迪考古与民族学博物馆颁发的“The Robert Gardner Fellowship in Photography”。

LEE Kai-chung performs artistic research on historiography, ideology and time-transcendence of emotion. From his early explorations of archival systems for historiography, Lee has developed an archival methodology that extends to research-based creative practices - including publishing, spatial production, public engagement and the archives-making. Lee is the co-editor of The (Im)Possibility of Archives: Theory and Experience in/from Asia (2022); his upcoming exhibition includes “Sharjah Biennial 15: Thinking Historically in the Present” (2023). In 2022, he is awarded The Robert Gardner Fellowship in Photography from Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology of Harvard University.

童文敏

童文敏,1989年生于中国重庆。2012年毕业于四川美术学院油画系。童文敏的创作常常聚焦于外部环境与个体感知的交叉地带,通过看似背反逻辑的行为,激发微妙且具启发性的行动及其视觉诗意。通过时常简化的或具规律性的动作,在语义丰富的情境中提示身体与行动的寓言性品格。

TONG Wenmin (b. 1989, Chongqing, China) received her BFA at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 2012. TONG Wenmin's work often focuses on the intersection between individual perception and the external environment, stimulating visual poetry and inspiring action through behaviors that at first seem counter-intuitive. Through often simplified or regulated movements, her work hints at the allegorical character of the body and action within a semantically rich ”context.

绘画,及凭空的绝决

【主单元论坛】

2022年,画廊周北京主单元论坛围绕“共享”主题,邀请艺术家与收藏家,从不同角度基于“情景营造”探讨艺术创作及艺术收藏的相关话题。

斯坦尼斯拉夫斯基在《演员的自我修养》中提到心理视像(亦被翻译为“内心视像”)时,曾描绘过“正确的想象生活”的场景。那是一个考验想象力的场景,一个绝决的、笃定的、不容辩驳的场景,一个凭空捏造又无比真实的场景。舞台艺术的“心理视像”创造方法是否也在视觉艺术家的工作过程中排演并得以发展?艺术家又是如何将这些视像“凝固”在一件绘画之中呢?观看者,如艺术作品的收藏家,又是如何发掘和接收这一类视像呢?

杨紫

杨紫,独立策展人,毕业于南京大学哲学系、宗教学系。他于2020年获选为首届“希克中国艺术研究资助计划”研究学人,并担任画廊周北京评委;2019、2021年担任年度华宇青年奖初选评委;2017年入围Hyundai Blue Prize年度艺术大奖。杨紫具有近十年的艺术评论写作及策展经验,2011年任《艺术界LEAP》杂志编辑,并长期为《艺术界LEAP》、《艺术论坛》中文网和《艺术新闻中文版》等杂志撰写文章。杨紫还曾任UCCA尤伦斯当代艺术中心策展人及公共项目总监,策划多场展览及公共项目活动。

Yang Zi is an independent curator. He received his bachelor’s degree in philosophy and religious studies from Nanjing University. In 2020, he was awarded the first Sigg Fellowship for Chinese Art Research; he was the jury member of 2020 Gallery Weekend Beijing; in 2019 and 2021 he served as one of the primary judges of Huayu Youth Award; he was a finalist for the 2017 Hyundai Blue Prize. Yang Zi has nearly ten years of experience in art critic writing and curation. In 2011, he served as editor of LEAP, and wrote extensively for a range of publications such as LEAP, Artforum China and the Art Newspaper China. He was the curator and the head of Public Programs in UCCA. He curated numerous exhibitions and public programs.

梁远苇

梁远苇于中央美术学院先后获得学士和硕士学位,现工作和生活于北京。作为在全球化语境下开展创作的新一代,将个人放置在对文明历史和当代语境的体悟中进行不断的自我革新,是她一直以来的工作方法。她将“个体性”和“日常性”放在理论框架中,在具体的、细节的层面展开表达,深入并辩证地探寻着观念与形式间的有机关系。

Liang Yuanwei graduated from the China Central Academy of Fine Art, where she received her BA and MA degrees. As one of the new generations given birth by globalization, continually adapting oneself to social and historical movements by immersing within them has always been Liang Yuanwei’s priority in her trajectory. She situates individualism and everydayness in her theoretical framework while thriving for more detailed and specific ways of expression, as well as the dialectical investigations into the relationship between concept and form.

罗旭东

青年藏家;艺术赞助人。收藏方向主要是中国当代架上艺术,着眼于推动中国当代艺术的良性发展。

A young collector and an art patron. His collection focuses on Chinese contemporary painting, aiming to promote the development of Chinese contemporary art.

谢南星

谢南星1970年生于重庆,现生活和工作在北京。谢南星是极具变革心的实验派画家,他总是在挑战着艺术教育中的那些传统的、看似已确立的成规。他对心理学颇有兴趣, 往往以心理学质疑的方式去质询表面背后的东西,从而达成他的艺术实践路径。

Xie Nanxing was born in 1970 in Chongqing, Sichuan Province. He currently lives and works in Beijing and Chengdu, China. Xie Nanxing is a revolutionary and experimental painter, who always challenges tradition and the seemingly established rules of art education. He is interested in psychology and also approaches his practice with a psychologist’s line of questioning, inquiring into what is behind the surface.

王兴伟

王兴伟1969年生于中国沈阳,目前工作生活在北京。他在沈阳大学师范学院接受了早期的绘画训练。他的早期作品包含一些与西方艺术史经典的对话,和对中国本土艺术环境的忧虑和批评;在创作中期他开始形成一种独特的风格,并继续探索绘画中的基础问题,包括有意识的转换和图像的重复。

Wang Xingwei (b. 1969 in Shenyang, China) currently lives and works in Beijing. He received his formative painting training at Normal School of Shenyang University. His early work includes dialogues with classics of Western art history, and skepticism and criticism of the local Chinese art scene. After entering the middle of his artistic career, he has gradually developed a unique style, and continues the exploration of the basic issues of painting, including the conscious transmission and the repetition of images.

河流交汇处

【主题论坛】

“河流交汇处”是基于“共享”主题生发的、形象化的一种描述。河流交汇处易形成丰富且复杂地貌,或形成群居、生产、生活从而繁荣的文明,却也有可能因流速、含沙量等诸多因素,形成明显界限,泾渭分明。本场论坛邀请长期游走于世界各地的策展人就各自的交流经验、合作实践和遭遇问题进行分享和讨论。

田霏宇现任UCCA尤伦斯当代艺术中心的馆长兼CEO。田霏宇在中国当代艺术领域有多年的研究和写作经验,他曾任2017年纽约古根海姆美术馆的大展“1989年后的艺术与中国:世界剧场”的联合策展人。田霏宇在2015年被世界经济论坛提名为“全球青年领袖”,2016年被美中关系全国委员会选为“公共知识分子”项目的成员。田霏宇自2001年移居北京,获有杜克大学的文学学士学位以及哈佛大学的东亚研究硕士学位。

Director, UCCA Center for Contemporary Art. CEO, UCCA Group. Having written extensively on contemporary art in China, he was co-curator of the 2017 exhibition Art and China after 1989: Theater of the World at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York. Based in Beijing since 2001 and fluent in Mandarin, Tinari is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader and a fellow of the Public Intellectuals Program of the National Committee on US-China Relations. He holds degrees from Duke and Harvard.

李佳桓

Alvin Li is a curator and writer based in London and Shanghai. He currently serves as Adjunct Curator, Greater China, supported by the Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation, at Tate; and a contributing editor of frieze magazine. He has curated exhibitions at UCCA Center for Contemporary Art, Beijing; Para Site, Hong Kong; chi K11 Art Museum, Shanghai; and Antenna Space, Shanghai, among others. Li’s writing on contemporary art and culture has appeared in catalogues and anthologies published by the New Museum, New York; Dancing Foxes Press; MIT Press; and Sternberg Press, among others; as well as in international publications such as frieze, Artforum, e-flux Architecture, Mousse, Art Agenda, Spike Art Quarterly, and ArtReview Asia. In 2022 he served as Artistic Advisor of the 59th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, "The Milk of Dreams."

卢迎华

艺术史家、策展人,现任北京中间美术馆馆长。她获墨尔本大学艺术史博士学位(2020)。她曾于出任深圳OCAT艺术总监及首席策展人(2012-2015)。她曾任意大利博尔扎诺Museion的客座策展人(2013年)与亚洲艺术文献库中国研究员(2005-2007)。2012年,她担任第九届光州双年展联合策展人、第七届深圳雕塑双年展联合策展人。她是美国艺术史研究机构协会(ARIAH)首届“东亚学者奖”的四位获奖者之一(2017年),获Yishu华人当代艺术评论奖(2016)和泰特美术馆研究中心亚太计划的首个特邀研究学者奖金(2013年)。2013年至今,她与艺术家刘鼎持续开展题为“社会主义现实主义的回响”的研究,对叙述中国当代艺术的视角和方法论进行重新评估。

Carol Yinghua LU is an art historian and a curator. She received her Phd degree in art history from the University of Melbourne in 2020. She is the director of Beijing Inside-Out Art Museum. She was the artistic director and senior curator of OCAT, Shenzhen (2012-2015), guest curator at Museion, Bolzano (2013) and the China researcher for Asia Art Archive (2005-2007). She has contributed to artist monologues, catalogues as well as a number of art journals, including e-flux journal, frieze, the Exhibitionist, Yishu, Flash Art, Contemporary, and so on. She was a contributing editor for frieze magazine (2008-2018), Chief editor for Chinese edition of Yishu: Journal of Contemporary Chinese Art (2012-2013), co-founder and co-editor of Contemporary Art and Investment magazine (2007-2010). She received Yishu Awards for Critical Writing and Curating on Contemporary Chinese Art (2016).

张艺川

电影导演、策展人和出版人,现工作生活于北京,AP Project发起人之一。2022年为北京中间美术馆访问策展人。2021年,其项目《世界之时,夜之时》入围2021年集美阿尔勒影像策展人奖。2021年起将阅读室作为一种策展方式,先后与abC艺术书展、中间美术馆IOAM、 OCAT研究中心、朱屺瞻美术馆等连续策划了多场阅读室——“VAI PURE! 女性艺术阅读室”、“世界之时,夜之时阅读室”等,以阅读、展览和交流的方式在不同的城市激发艺术的回响。

Yichuan Zhang is a film director, publisher, and curator. He lives and works in Bei-jing. He is a co-founder of Artist Publishing Project (AP Project). He joined Beijing Inside-Out Art Museum (IOAM) as a visiting curator in 2022. In 2021, he co-curated The World-time, The Dream-time (with Yin Shuai), which was selected as the finalist of The Jimei x Arles Curatorial Award for Photography and Moving Image. He has been using Reading Room as a curatorial methodology since 2021. In collaboration with Art Book Fair (abC), IOAM, OCAT Institute, and Zhu Qizhan Art Museum, he initiated the projects including VAI PURE! Reading Room of Art and Feminism, Reading Room of The World-time, The Dream-time, to promote artistic and humane knowledge advance in different cities through reading materials, exhibitions and panels.

张南昭

UCCA策展人。曾参与策划的展览包括 “紧急中的沉思”(2020)、“沉静的响雷”(2021)、“黄锐:抽象之道”(2021)、“张如怡:低声细语”(2022)。以及联合策划了首届沙特阿拉伯迪里耶双年展 “摸着石头过河”(2021)。张南昭曾先后就读于罗德岛艺术学院、布朗大学和哥伦比亚大学。研究方向及兴趣主要涵盖以佛教为主的宗教在后现代框架下的分析,前现代东亚视觉文化以及当代艺术,并翻译了哥伦比亚大学终身教授Bernard Faure所著的《顿法的意欲——禅的文化批判》等学术著作。

Neil Zhang is a curator at UCCA, having joined the museum in 2020. He has curated exhibitions including Meditation in an Emergency (2020); Silent Thunder (2021); Huang Rui: Ways of Abstraction (2021); Zhang Ruyi: Speaking Softly (2022). He also co-curated the inaugural Diriyah Biennale (2021) in Saudi Arabia. Zhang has previously studied at RISD, Brown University, and Columbia University. His research interests include the analysis of Buddhism and related religions under a postmodern framework, visual culture in pre-modern East Asia, and contemporary art. He has translated academic works including Columbia University professor Bernard Faure’s The Rhetoric of Immediacy: A Cultural Critique of Chan/Zen Buddhism.

邹嘉澍

2021年加入UCCA。此前曾参与策划的展览包括“约翰·莱瑟姆:现在忘记你已知的一切”(Flat Time House, 伦敦,2020)、“俄罗斯芭蕾:隐藏的历史”(线上展览,2020)、“于伤痕之处重来”(切尔西艺术与设计学院,伦敦,2019)。 本科毕业于柏林自由大学欧美艺术史及中国学专业,硕士毕业于伦敦艺术大学切尔西艺术与设计学院策展与收藏专业。邹嘉澍关注于1960年代以来全球社会背景下的艺术变革以及有关寻常物,特定场域及东亚古典哲学的当代艺术实践。

Jiashu Zou joined UCCA Center for Contemporary Art in 2021. She has previously co-curated exhibitions including John Latham: Now Forget Everything You Ever Knew (Flat Time House, London, 2020); Ballets Russes: Concealed Histories (Online Exhibition, 2020); Starting Again from Scratch (Chelsea College of Arts, London, 2019). She graduated with a BA in European and American Art History and Sinology from Free University of Berlin and obtained a master's degree in Curating and Collections from Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London. She focuses on the art movements in the global social context from 1960s and the contemporary artistic practices that relate to objects, site-specificity, and the ancient East Asian philosophies.
