Definitely, the vocational education week will do. During this activity, you can discover the fascinating Guizhou culture.

毋庸置疑，在“职业教育活动周”就能体验来自贵州的奇妙风物。

Recently, 15 international students of Guizhou University had a close look at Guizhou vocational education as well as traditional Chinese culture during the first "Craftsman's Month" of Guizhou Vocational and Technical College of Economics and Trade, also the "Vocational Education Week" of Qiannan Prefecture, Guizhou.

日前，贵州大学的15位国际生参加了黔南州“职教周”暨贵州经贸职业技术学院首届“匠行月”，深入感知贵州职业教育，近距离体验中国传统文化。

This year, May 10 saw the open of the vocational education week in Guizhou. According to the Vocational Education Law of People's Republic of China, the second week of May each year will be held as the vocational education week.

今年，贵州“职业教育活动周”于5月10日正式启动。根据新修订的《中华人民共和国职业教育法》（以下称“《职教法》”），每年5月的第二周为职业教育活动周。

Meanwhile, this Law encourages schools to have more international communication in the field of vocational education. That is the reason why 15 international students from Bangladesh, Russia, Kazakhstan, Yemen, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, and Vietnam were invited to join in this activity.

同时，新修订的《职教法》还鼓励职业教育领域的对外交流与合作。此次活动期间，学校大力邀请了来自孟加拉国、俄罗斯、哈萨克斯坦、也门、尼日利亚、赤道几内亚以及越南等七个国家的15位国际生参与。

Uche is a student majoring in economics from Guizhou University. Her eyes were drawn to the Beijing silk figurines, one of the Intangible Culture Heritages, made by teachers and students of Shenghua Forerunner College. Grasping one of the silk figurines, Uche said, "This is a gift of 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. It looks absolutely interesting!"

贵州大学经济学院国际生刘雨佳就对非物质文化遗产——北京绢人十分感兴趣。这些绢人由贵州盛华职业学院师生参与制作。拿起其中一个娃娃，刘雨佳说：“它们曾经亮相北京2022年冬奥会现场，看起来实在太有趣了！”

After trying to fry Duyun Maojian, a kind of Chinese tea, Adam, a mechanical engineering student of Guizhou University, felt very happy. He said that he is planning to travel around Guizhou to discover the history and beauty of Chinese tea in the future.

在炒制中国传统茶叶之一的都匀毛尖后，贵州大学机械工程学院学生李白感到十分开心。李白说，未来自己想要挖掘更多与中国茶叶相关的历史与美景，从而更深入地了解中国。

Now, in Guizhou, vocational education becomes a new approach to learning, which puts emphasis on competence rather than subjects. Within the past 5 years, vocational education has turned out to be the main source of qualified technicians in Guizhou.

在贵州，职业教育已成为当地学子提升专业技能水平的新路径。五年来，职业教育成为了为贵州输送中高级技能人才的主要来源。

There are signs that Guizhou is trying to turn a back road into a high-speed way. By 2021, there are more than 470,000 enrolled students of higher vocational education in Guizhou, surpassing the number of enrolled undergraduate students.

当下，贵州已迈入职业教育发展“快车道”。截至2021年，贵州高职教育在校生人数达47万余人，超过本科教育在校生人数。

In December 2021, "Skill Guizhou" project was officially launched by the Ministry of Education and Guizhou government, which has initiated a new journey of vocational education in Guizhou. Vocational innovation will certainly produce a more dynamic high-quality education.
