踔厉奋发 再续新章——第五届CSCO理事会选举产生及新闻发布会

金秋鹭岛，扬帆启航，第27届全国临床肿瘤学大会暨2024年中国临床肿瘤学会（CSCO）学术年会于2024年9月25—29日在厦门。9月27日下午，CSCO第五次会员代表大会上举行新一届CSCO理事会换届改选。山东省肿瘤医院于金明院士当选CSCO第五届理事长，解放军总医院江泽飞教授当选候任理事长；复旦大学附属中山医院樊嘉院士、北京大学肿瘤医院郭军教授、陆军军医大学西南医院梁后杰教授、中国医学科学院肿瘤医院王洁教授、中国医学科学院肿瘤医院吴令英教授、南京医科大学第一附属医院殷咏梅教授及北京大学肿瘤医院朱军教授当选副理事长。

Xiamen, China, September 25-29, 2024 — The much-anticipated 27th National Clinical Oncology Conference and the 2024 Academic Annual Meeting of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO) took place in the picturesque city of Xiamen. Amidst a rich academic exchange, attendees expressed great benefits from the event. On the afternoon of September 27, the fifth Membership Congress of CSCO was convened.

Professor Xu Ruihua, the President of CSCO and from Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center, delivered a comprehensive and in-depth report on the work of the Fourth Council of CSCO, showcasing the achievements made in promoting the development of clinical oncology in China in recent years. Following this, all attending representatives elected the new members of the Fifth Council of CSCO.

Academician Yu Jinming from Shandong Cancer Hospital was elected as the President of the Fifth Council of CSCO, and Professor Jiang Zefei from the General Hospital of the People's Liberation Army was elected as the Vice President. Academician Fan Jia from Zhongshan Hospital affiliated with Fudan University, Professor Guo Jun from Peking University Cancer Hospital, Professor Liang Houjie from Southwest Hospital of the Army Medical University, Professor Wang Jie from Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences Cancer Hospital, Professor Wu Lingying from Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences Cancer Hospital, Professor Yin Yongmei from the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, and Professor Zhu Jun from Peking University Cancer Hospital were elected as Vice Presidents.

The newly elected President, Academician Yu Jinming, delivered a key speech at the meeting. He expressed heartfelt gratitude and high respect for the hard work and outstanding contributions of the previous council. On behalf of the new council, he presented a clear plan and outlook for the future development of CSCO. CSCO will strengthen cooperation and exchange with domestic and international academic groups with a more open and inclusive attitude, and promote more Chinese practical experience and guidelines to enhance CSCO's international influence.

The congress also elected new leaders for the CSCO Supervisory Board: Professor Ma Jun from Harbin Institute of Hematology and Oncology was elected as the Chairman, Professor Li Jin from Shanghai Gaobo Cancer Hospital affiliated with China Pharmaceutical University and Professor Cheng Ying from Jilin Cancer Hospital were elected as Vice Chairmen. Professor Qin Shuku from Nanjing Tianyinshan Hospital affiliated with China Pharmaceutical University was elected as the Director of the CSCO Guidance Committee, and Professor Liang Jun, Professor Mo Shuji, and Professor Zheng Anli from Peking University International Hospital were elected as Deputy Directors. In addition, with the unanimous agreement of the society and the council, Professor Wu Yilong from Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital was appointed as the Honorary President of CSCO.

The official debut of the new council marks a new stage of development for the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology. The members of the council will work hand in hand in the future to jointly promote the development of CSCO and the cause of oncology in China. We firmly believe that with the joint efforts of all members, CSCO will achieve even more brilliant accomplishments!
