岫玉即岫岩玉，国际上称其为“新山玉”。岫岩玉以产于辽宁省鞍山市岫岩满族自治县而得名，为中国历史上的四大名玉之一。
Xiuyu, also known as Xiuyan jade, is internationally recognized as the "New Mountain Jade". Named after Xiuyan Manchu Autonomous County in Anshan City, Liaoning Province, Xiuyan jade is one of the four famous jades in Chinese history.
岫岩玉色彩丰富多样，有深绿、绿、浅绿、黄绿、灰绿、黄褐、棕褐、暗红、蜡黄、白、黄白、绿白、灰白、黑等色。
Xiuyan jade has a diverse range of colors, including deep green, green, light green, yellow-green, grayish-green, yellow-brown, brown, dark red, waxy yellow, white, yellow-white, green-white, gray-white, and black.
它的突出特点是质地细腻、温润，外表呈玻璃状光泽，颜色绚丽多彩，透明度较高，非常漂亮，适合雕制比较大型的工艺品。
Its outstanding characteristics include fine and smooth texture, a glass-like luster on the surface, vivid and colorful hues, and high transparency, making it suitable for crafting relatively large artworks.
玉石本身含有一定的微量元素和矿物质，这些是对人体有利的。人体会分泌汗液和油脂，长期佩戴玉石制品，人们的皮肤会红润、光滑，而玉石也因渗入了油脂而更加透明、油亮。这就是常说的“人养玉、玉养人”。
