In Guangdong, how is general AI being established? What is the development of "AI+" across various industries? How can we accelerate the formation of new quality productive forces?"
On October 23rd, the 2024 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area AI Industry Conference opened in Nansha, Guangzhou. At the conference, the first batch of 66 typical AI application cases from Guangdong Province was officially released. Additionally, the "2024 Guangdong Artificial Intelligence Development White Paper " (the "White Paper") was presented, showing that the scale of Guangdong's core AI industry approached 180 billion yuan in 2023, reflecting a year-on-year growth of approximately 18%. As of September 2024, there are over 1,500 core AI companies in Guangdong, with 101 recognized as national-level "little giant" firms , 26 AI unicorn companies, and 90 AI-listed companies.
According to the White Paper, as of December 2023, Guangdong has authorized over 140,000 AI invention patents, ranking first in the country. As of August 2024, Guangdong has released a total of 63 large models, placing it second nationally. In terms of the talent pool, more than 1,000 individuals in Guangdong are participating in AI professional title evaluations for 2024.
Additionally, the White Paper focuses on humanoid robots and the intelligent terminal industry. It presents insights gathered from nearly 100 AI research institutions, as well as open innovation platforms, industrial parks, industry organizations, investment and financing institutions, AI companies, and professionals in Guangdong. This comprehensive and multi-dimensional perspective highlights the development trends and characteristics of AI in Guangdong, providing guidance and policy support for the industry's growth.

在广东，通用人工智能如何筑基？“人工智能+”的千行百业发展怎样？如何加快形成新质生产力？
10月23日， 2024年粤港澳大湾区人工智能产业大会在广州南沙开幕。会上，首批66个广东省人工智能典型应用案例正式发布。同时，会上发布的《2024年广东省人工智能产业发展白皮书》（以下简称《白皮书》）显示，2023年广东省人工智能核心产业规模近1800亿元，同比增长约18%。截至2024年9月，广东省人工智能核心企业超1500家，人工智能国家级专精特新“小巨人”企业已达101家，人工智能独角兽企业26家，人工智能上市企业90家。
根据《白皮书》，在科研实力上，截至2023年12月，广东省人工智能发明专利累计授权数量超14万件，位居全国第一；在数量上，截至2024年8月，广东省大模型累计发布数量为63个，位居全国第二；在人才储备上，2024年度广东省人工智能职称参评人员超1000人。
此外，《白皮书》还聚焦人形机器人、智能终端产业，通过调研近百家人工智能科研机构，开放创新平台、产业园、行业组织、投融资机构及广东人工智能企业、从业人员，以多元化、体系化、立体化视角展现广东人工智能的发展趋势与特点，为产业发展提供引导和政策依据。
